Helping you stay safe while we learn to live with COVID-19
Muskingum Valley ESC is very concerned about the safety of its staff, and the students and teachers we serve. The following informational items have been assembled to answer your questions as we navigate through the health crisis caused by the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
All MVESC employees need to follow the safety protocols established by the districts where they serve. We cannot stress enough the importance of staying home if you are unwell this school year, and we expect you to assess your health every day before coming to work (You may use the document below entitled, COVID Daily Symptoms Check). We expect you to wash your hands frequently, observe social distancing protocols and wear face coverings every day. We ask that you be strategic in planning your daily travels to districts and follow the current CDC guidelines on the maximum number of individuals in a group gathering. If you or a family should be diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19, please follow the protocols outlined in the document “COVID, When to Return to Work.”
Staff members and staff members with family diagnosed with COVID are eligible for leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). In the documents provided below, you will find a poster outlining your rights under the FFCRA. You will be able to apply for FFCRA leave, as applicable, in the HR Kiosk. Two special categories for COVID-19 have been added to the kiosk program for this school year. Currently, the act only extends through December 31, 2020. As the situation with COVID has been extremely fluid, we will do our best to apprise you of changes in this law.
If you have any questions about your rights under the FFCRA, safety protocols or a recent COVID-19 diagnosis for you or your family, contact Christine Wagner at the Zanesville Office at 740-452-4518, extension 1104, or christine.wagner@mvesc.org. If emailing, place the word “COVID” in the Subject Line of your email.
