Local Educator Receives Community Service Award

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A Zanesville area educator is the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Leadership Award for Community Service from the Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OESCA). Diane Jones received the honor Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Ohio School Boards Association Capital Conference in Columbus.

The recognition is for a community leader who has personally rendered a specific leadership service which has significantly benefited all of the local school districts in the county school system, or educational service center office, or both. The application, submitted by the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center reads, in part, “Diane Jones’ entire life defines her as an ‘Advocate for Education’ and is absolutely deserving of this award.”
