In this virtual session, Lisa Combs from Combs Educational Consulting presents a framework for understanding how common behavioral “hot spots,” such as communication challenges, sensory issues, instructional needs, attention seeking and others, lead to behavioral “fires” in the classroom. Using this framework, Lisa guides participants in an interactive process of identifying factors at play with their own students and developing a “fire prevention and response” plan based on those factors! Each participant will leave with a better understanding of the cause of behavioral crises as well as renewed confidence in planning to prevent and respond to them.
Susan Willeke, Education and Communications Administrator with the Ohio Ethics Commission, will meet state requirements in ethics through an engaging and interactive session with real-life scenarios.
