This presentation introduces professionals to the diverse needs deaf and hard of hearing students. It highlights how hearing differences affect language access, communication, learning, and social-emotional development. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of supports such as assistive technology, strategies for assessment and teaching, and collaborative practices. An overview of professionals that serve these students as well as creating accessible learning environments will be discussed.
