The more teachers of upper elementary and secondary students understand about how our language works, the better we can support students in learning new vocabulary and giving them tools to continue expanding their own lexicon while reading. This day long session will cover how to use a vocabulary routine to support students in deep learning of tier 2 and 3 vocabulary. The session will include learning to use syllabication and morphemes to support vocabulary learning and spelling.
