We partner with expert providers for whole child support.
At Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center (MVESC), we understand that educators have an important responsibility to assure that every child achieves academic success. That’s why we partner with expert regional providers who support the critical role prevention plays in teaching and caring for the “whole child.”
This partnership is built on the premise that all children can and will succeed if when we are able to work together. MVESC has joined with the Muskingum Area Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services to develop a replicable prevention education train-the-trainer model to build capacity within region, providing a pool of highly-skilled prevention education trainers for our schools and community partners.
Prevention and Trauma-Informed Education
Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center (MVESC) was awarded Prevention Education dollars from the Ohio Department of Education as the lead agency for Ohio’s southeast region. MVESC is partnering with eight ESCs and eight ADAMHS boards to build capacity within the region to offer a pool of prevention education trainers for schools and community partners.
Meeting the needs of trauma-exposed students starts with a holistic, school-wide approach. Supportive and nurturing learning environments are important part of prevention and early intervention strategies.
We build bridges between educators and prevention providers.
