SUMMARY:MUSK-Ethics Training for SLPs
DESCRIPTION:This is a training completed by the Executive Director of Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board\, Gregg Thornton. This ethics training meets the required 2 hours for SLP/AUD licensure. The content is very specific to issues and scenarios SLPs/AUDs encounter in the school setting\, such as caseloads\, telepractice\, outside employment\, impairment\, updates/changes to our code of ethics\, etc. After discussion about the case studies\, we will discuss how the code of ethics would apply by referencing the specific sections of the code of ethics and other provisions under the laws and rules governing the practice of speech-language pathology and audiology. The scenarios are all real that the licensure board has dealt with and therefore are specific to SLPs and AUDs.
