Making systemic change in the way that Literacy is taught in your district/building is so much more than simply implementing new curriculum. It is a process that requires a detailed plan and a set of expectations to be implemented to truly support a culture of Literacy. Join Keith McCarroll as he facilitates a walk-through of Ohio’s Literacy Improvement Pathway based on Dr. Timothy Shanahan’s work. Some of the stops on the pathway will be time, what to teach, quality of instruction, interventions, and parents and families. These sessions will include planning time built in to begin to discuss with team members information gleaned from each session. The goal is to have a rough Literacy Plan written by the end of the third session.
