Practical strategies for implementing assessment and subsequent\ntreatment based on the research of Gierut and colleagues will be reviewed. Mrs. Farnham has\nimplemented this phonologic selection process in a public school setting\, with significant student\nsuccess in a relatively short time. Key components of effective therapy for severe speech sound\ndisorders will be the primary focus of the session.

DESCRIPTION:Through demonstration and presentation\, participants will learn about the vocabulary options and features of the LAMP Words for Life application for the iPad. \nThe foundations of the LAMP approach will be briefly reviewed as well as the principals behind the development of the LAMP Words for Life application. Participants will practice saying single words\, phrases and short sentences in the 1-hit\, Transition and Full levels. In addition\, participants will learn how to get started and program/customize the application as well as use the features of word finder and Vocabulary Builder. \nThis training is intended for individuals who have already purchased the application or are interested in learning more about the application. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring an iPad with the LAMP Words for Life application. iPads will not be provided. \nASHA CEUs: 0.5
